Breaking Out of CI Environments
Our CI pipelines are the most direct path for code to reach production. In order for code to run in production, it basically requires permission to…well, everywhere - whether direct or indirect.
Knowing this, and how critical this piece is in the code deployment puzzle, it is still quite easy to break out of CI environments with some of the most common injection methods - from code injection, to config file injection (from JSON to YAML) as well as injecting common custom files like Dockerfiles.
Once you’ve broken out of the pipeline is where the real adventures start. This talk will take you on the misadventures of system resources, once you’ve broken out of the CI pipeline, and are free to roam the system as you please.

10 steps for building a solid Regional Monitoring Strategy
Setting-up a system of monitoring production availability in multiple regions might seem pretty straightforward if we’re looking at this strictly from a tooling perspective: Postman, DataDog, New Relic, AWS, Uptrends, Cloudfare (and the list can go on), they all offer solutions that are super easy to setup, manage and maintain. However, the real challenges are behind the use of the tool: figuring out what to set up.
In this session I plan to go through 10 considerations with examples from my personal work experience on the topic that will help the audience build their own strategy for monitoring their platform from multiple locations.
